Bedroom, location ,decor friendliness cleanliness

Inconsistency of food . Tasty and inviting followed by other plates that were cold or just warm. . Cold spring rolls as a starter ---which chef thougt of that . Very few guests. More chefs and servers than guests and still slow service Pool small and inside.

Wonderful

Well positioned hotel. A good choice of food at breakfast and dinner, a very large buffet with cold and hot options. The gym staff member was so incredibly kind towards us and our fellow traveller who had additional needs.

The music at dinner each night was far too noisy for us to hold a conversation over.

Great stay. But definitely needed more atmosphere in the bar/ sitting rooms

Not a happy experience to me and my friend.

The review stated that the rooms are spacious, this is correct. But the location is not convenient.

I was upgraded to a 3 pax room but we’re only 2 pax. So I didn’t take the upgrade. In my reservation form, I was awarded with my genius level a 10% discount on a la carte menu, 20% discount on house buffet. However the hotel only gave me 10% on house buffet. Though I asked for an explanation, they replied this is their rules. I thought if they can’t fulfil what’s written in my form, then they shouldn’t state in black and white. It’s not the money that I was concerned, but it’s a matter of principle. I’m unhappy about this.

Wonderful

Good spread for dinner and breakfast buffet . Very attentive staff. BIG spacious room.

The water heater did not produce sufficient warm water to take a bath. Water became cold within 5 minutes.

A very nice hotel.

This was a lovely hotel, a short walk from the centre. The staff were very friendly and accommodating

Lack of food choice. We were advised that the restaurants were only serving indian buffet food for dinner, which didn't appeal to us, and there was little choice outside.

Family friendly

Staff, cleanness, room service,near amenities, low cost of laundry, gym.

First of all, the description of the room assigned to me on the 1st floor was different than what heave been advertised in Booking.com: there were no city view, no landmark view, and no garden view!!. I complained about this and changed to a same room on the same location at 2nd floor!!! In addition,I specifically booked this hotel to benefit from the spa and its facilities that were mentioned in Booking.com. However, I went there everyday, during my stay and couldn’t find anyone. I called many times, but there were no responses. Moreover, I called the receptionist asking about the spa, but the action was just transferring me to them with no reply from the spa. Furthermore, I suffered from the noice that was coming from the workshops beneath the room, and during the night sometimes, such as cutting wood and steel. I send a message to the management but I didn’t receive any response from them. Finally, I was disappointed too much, since I thought may stay in Nuwara Ella would be much enjoyable. I came to relax and feel calmness and cool in this beautiful city, but the wind went against my wishes

City Center stay with a good feel of Nuwara Eliya

A nice property with close proximity to city center and a 5 minute drive to Gregory Lake. The staff were friendly and cooperative, rooms allocated to us were very comfortable.

Room service staffs are very slow. It took more than one hour to get the food that I ordered for room service. I had to call seven times to get the food delivered and thirty minute more to get the dinner plates and called thrice.

Overall a satisfactory option for a brief stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Excellent location, adjoining the Grand Hotel and very close to Nuwara Eliya town. Friendly and accommodating staff. Lodging is available for drivers and free parking for vehicles. The breakfast buffet (included in cost) is exceptional.

A la carte service in other restaurants at the hotel is spotty. Probably a function of low occupancy. You need to inform them in advance of your intention to eat there.
